Thompson Welcomes Rep. Brad Finstad to the House Agriculture Committee

Today, Rep. Glenn "GT" Thompson, Republican Leader of the House Committee on Agriculture, issued the following statement welcoming Representative Brad Finstad (MN-01) to the House Agriculture Committee. Rep. Finstad was elected to serve Minnesota’s First Congressional District – filling the vacant seat after the untimely passing of former Agriculture Committee Member Jim Hagedorn.

"Rep. Brad Finstad will be right at home as a member of the House Agriculture Committee. As the operator of a family farm and former State Director for USDA Rural Development in Minnesota, Brad isn’t only aware of the issues facing America’s producers, he’s lived them. I look forward to bringing Brad’s knowledge and experience to the table as Committee Republicans continue to fight for rural communities in Minnesota and across the country," said Republican Leader Thompson.

"As one of only a handful of active farmers serving in Congress, I can’t think of a more fitting place for me than the House Agriculture Committee. I am honored to serve on this committee, and I am ready to get to work advancing commonsense policies that support farm families, strengthen our rural communities, and put farmers and producers first," said Representative Finstad.
